Speakers at the HSA International Symposium 2011 included Professor Temple Grandin on animal welfare auditing, Dr Craig Johnson on pain perception at slaughter, and Jia Zili on the ASPRI/WSPA humane slaughter programme in China. The event, held at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, attracted over 250 delegates from all parts of the world.
