18 September 2017
HSA’s Annual Report for 2016-17, which has just been published, highlights the charity’s ongoing work to improve the welfare of food animals between the farm gate and slaughter around the world.
It’s been a busy year for the HSA with staff delivering animal welfare lectures, assessment visits and hands on training as well as providing animal welfare advice and commencing a survey of a sample of livestock markets across England and Wales to evaluate the animal welfare provisions currently in place.
Some of the work over this past year is making a difference now, whilst other projects undertaken by the charity have the potential to make a positive difference in the future. Click here to download a copy of the report.
